2015 Winemakers Selection Pinot Noir


2015 was a cooler vintage with a warm spring that was perfect for flowering which then cooled off at the end that allowed for a nice maturation of fruit on our vines at the farm in the Yarra Valley.

Hand picked and selected parcels of fruit were gently crushed with a small proportion of whole bunch and placed into open top fermenters. First a cold maceration followed by daily hand plunging of the grape skin cap to help extract colour and build structure during the fermentation. Then pressed to rest and develop in a mix of new French oak and seasoned barriques for 12 months.
